Our company is IICRC Certified in Water Damage Restoration – the national certification recognized by insurance companies and service professionals nationwide. We will work with your insurance company address your water damage restoration project as quickly as possible.
Step 1: Initial Response
We respond to you quickly and provide a project assessment. During this process, we determine the class and category of the water damage. These two items determine the manner we perform the cleanup and drying in accordance with the S500 National Standards. As part of the project assessment, we employ state of the art equipment to measure the moisture content of the affected areas and obtain baseline readings.
At this point, we’ll provide you with a project overview and highlight the cost of the project. We’ll also provide a statement of charges for your insurance adjuster that details of the work completed in accordance with the national standard. In addition, our team will work with your insurance adjuster and offer direct billing to your insurance company.
Step 2: Damage Mitigation
This part of the process involves immediate call to action to minimize the damage triggered by water exposure. Insurance companies require that homeowners take action to minimize damage, and our team achieves this through our mitigation process. First, we’ll remove standing water to minimize further damage and health risks. In some cases, we need to remove portions of walls to remove wet insulation and sheetrock. Wet insulation and drywall left in place will increase the risk of mold and bacteria growth. Demolition may also include removal of non-salvageable carpets.
Step 3: Cleaning and Sanitizing
This step involves comprehensive cleaning of the exposed area We will wash the area with our detergents and simultaneously evacuate the water. Once this process is complete, and depending on the water damage, we will apply an effective sanitizing and antimicrobial agent to all exposed areas.
Step 4: Drying
The drying process typically takes a few days to reach our target standard. We use commercial dehumidifiers and our large arsenal of drying equipment to tackle the needs of projects big and small — from a cozy room to a full-scale school. We will check the project site each day to take moisture and psychometric readings. Our measurements enable us to adjust equipment needs and positioning to provide optimal drying. Our team maintains a log of these daily readings and will provide them to your insurance company and adjuster upon request.
Step 5: Completion
Once the project is complete, we provide a post project report outlining the damage mitigation and demolition, the cleaning process, the sanitizing process, and the drying process accompanied with the moisture meter readings.
Your most treasured property is important to us! When the unexpected strike, don’t settle for anything short of expert attention. Pressure Washing Services is proud to offer the expertise and equipment needed to restore your property effectively.
