Every restoration project kicks off with a complete assessment of your worksite. We begin with a conversation with the homeowner to better understand what finish and look they want to achieve.

Next, we work with the homeowner to select a test area. This space allows us to evaluate the wood’s response to our cleaning, stripping, and brightening processes. We count on this step to help us select the best stripping agent, brightening agent, stain, and sealer for your project. During this step, we also measure the pre-project moisture content of the wood.

After completing the test area and assessment, we dive into the stripping and brightening process. Our team selects the stripping, brightening, and neutralizing detergents based on the results of our test area evaluation. We’re dedicated to selecting a product that will get you optimal results.

By neutralizing the stripping agent, we ensure that the finish will take to the wood seamlessly. This also prepares the wood surface for brightening and pre-staining prep. During this step, you’ll notice that the wood continues to brighten over the next few days as it continues to dry.

Stain application is usually achieved using several different methods for any given project. Typically, we use spraying and brushing to apply the stain, though a conventional roller is used on occasion.

Our stain / sealer of choices are Oil Based. Our products are oil based penetrating oil sealers that is available in many different shades, making it a versatile solution for a range of products.
